My Special Day
I slept early at night as I want to wake up in the morning refresh and energetic to start my day because it’s my birthday. It’s a day to celebrate God’s gift of life. My friend from Hongkong texted me early midnight to greet me on my birthday. And in the morning my phone received many text messages, overseas calls from Singapore and emails. Yesterday my boss gave me cash gift as an advance birthday gift. I was surprised and grateful that I could treat my friends at work. I just bought goldilocks cake, mcdonalds spaghetti and a refreshing soft drinks for snack treat. My cousin Janet visited me also.
In the evening my mama treat me to a dinner buffet together with my sisters at probinsya, one of the yummiest filipino restaurant in Davao City. My brother wasn’t able to join us as he has a night duty in the hospital. The food is consistently delicious and the staff are pleasing and accommodating. We enjoyed a sumptuous buffet from appetizers, salads, main course and desserts.
All in all, I had a fantastic birthday, doing exactly what I wanted. It was a simple celebration yet it was nice bonding with my family and some of my favorite friends at work.
